Listen up, folks. I’m gonna tell ya about these fancy watches, antique Patek Philippe, they call ’em. Yeah, the name’s a mouthful, ain’t it? I ain’t good with all them fancy words, but I know a thing or two about things that last.
Now, these Patek watches, they been around longer than I can remember. Someone told me they started makin’ ’em way back in 1868. That’s ancient, ain’t it? - You know, them women’s watches, they’re even cheaper. Heard you can get ’em for ’round 3,300 dollars. Still a pile of cash, but if you wanna look fancy, that’s what you gotta pay, I guess.
Now, they got all sorts of these Patek watches. Some they call “Calatrava.” There’s one, number 570, made with somethin’ called “rose gold.” Sounds pretty, don’t it? They say it’s from way back in 1943. Old thing, but still kickin’.
People like to collect these watches, like they collect stamps or old coins. I don’t get it, but to each their own, I always say. They say Patek’s been makin’ watches for 180 years. That’s a long time to be doin’ anything! Longer than that other watch company, Rolex, they say.

Even get help with payin’ for it, if you need it. They got these watches with diamonds, too. Bling bling, you know? Make ya look like a millionaire.
Now, I ain’t sayin’ these watches are better than others. They just been around a long time, and folks seem to like ’em. If you got the money and wanna look fancy, go ahead and get yourself an antique Patek Philippe. Me? I’ll stick with my old clock on the wall. Tells me the time just fine.
But hey, if you like shiny things and got money to burn, who am I to judge? Just remember, somethin’ that lasts, it’s worth somethin’, whether it’s a watch or a good pair of shoes. And these Patek watches, they sure seem to last.
