Okay, so, I decided to remake a YSL College Bag. It all started when I saw this bag online. I thought, “I can totally make that!” So, I got to work.
First, I looked everywhere for information about this bag. I mean, I checked out the official Saint Laurent website, and some other online stores that sell these kinds of bags. I even looked at some used ones to see if I could get a deal, but, man, there are a lot of fakes out there. I wanted to make sure my remake was as close to the real deal as possible.
Then, I gathered my materials. I needed some good quality leather, you know, the kind that feels nice and lasts long. I also needed to find the right kind of metal stuff for the chain and the logo. That took some time, but I managed to find some good stuff.
- Leather: Good quality, durable, feels nice.
- Metal parts: Chain, logo – had to be just right.
Next, I started cutting the leather. I used a pattern I made based on the pictures I found. I had to be super careful here, one wrong cut and the whole thing could be messed up. After cutting, I started sewing the pieces together. This was the most time-consuming part. I wanted the stitching to look neat, just like the real YSL bag.
After sewing, I attached the metal chain and the YSL logo. This was tricky. I had to make sure they were attached securely and looked good. It took a few tries, but I finally got it right.
The Result
Finally, after all that work, the bag was done! It looked pretty darn good if I do say so myself. It wasn’t perfect, but it was a pretty good remake of the YSL College Bag. I was really proud of how it turned out. It’s a fancy bag, and it felt great to make one myself. I’m gonna use this bag everywhere now. Would I do it again? Probably not. It was a lot of work! But, it was definitely worth it. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I’m gonna go show off my new bag!
